What comes to mind when I think about this group? Childhood, Delta, my dad, Sunday morning chores, road trips, party’s, Prince George, Terrace & Prince Rupert, the Skeena. Music for me is connected to so many memories. Every time I listen to a track from any artist there is a fountain of memories good & bad that swarm my mind. I’m pretty sure that anyone can relate to this feeling. Music helps you through the hard times, helps you celebrate the good times and everything in between. It’s such a powerful tool and works every time. All you have to do is press play!
So lets kick of part three of this series, shall we?! Aerosmith is an American Rock band that was formed in 1970 in Boston Massachusetts. Originally Joe Perry (Guitarist) & Tom Hamilton (Bassist) where in their own band called the Jam Band. They would later hook up with Steven Tyler (who use to be a drummer, now lead singer) Joe Kramer (Drummer) & Ray Tabano (second guitarist). In 1971 Tabano was replaced by Brad Whitford (from Earth Inc.)
Their music style is rooted in blues & hard rock with elements of pop, heavy metal and rhythm & blues. With the ability to pull off both ballads & Rock’N’Roll made them extremely popular in the mid 70’s
In 1975 they made a breakthrough with their album Toys In The Attic & their 1976 album Rocks. These albums would turn them into Rockstars Superstars!
In the early 80’s the band fell pray to drug and alcohol abuse. In the late 80’s Aerosmith pulled off one of the most remarkable comebacks in Rock history.

The second song “Eat the rich” is just badass! Nineties movie star Edward Furlong appears in my third video of choice “Livin on the edge” and in my final video 1995 Clueless actress Alicia Silverstone is in “Crazy” along with Steven Tyler’s own daughter Liv Tyler. All in all great videos, if I do say so myself.
